NEW JERSEY — Aitan, a defense technology startup formerly known as Israel’s eyesAtop, has raised $41 million in a funding round led by Deep33 and Dell Technologies Capital as it prepares to expand its AI-based military robotics business internationally. 

The financing brings Aitan's total equity funding to $54 million, according to reporting by Axios on the currently New Jersey-based company with production facilities located in Israel. 

Aitan develops software and robotic systems intended to coordinate drones and other unmanned vehicles. The company describes the offering as “robotic sovereignty-as-a-service,” aimed at governments that want to operate, maintain and develop their own autonomous military capabilities.  

The company says its technology has been used by the Israel Defence Forces since 2023 and has accumulated more than 500,000 operational flight hours. Aitan also says it recently won a joint tender to develop a command-and-control platform for the IDF's next generation of attack drones, alongside design contracts for robotic weapons systems. Those claims have not been independently verified.  

That operational history is central to Aitan's pitch. Co-founder Daniel Almog told Axios that warfare has changed substantially in recent years, with adversaries adapting radio-frequency environments, countermeasures and other conditions around unmanned systems. The company says its technology has been shaped during Russia-Ukraine and US-Iran conflicts.  

The round was also backed by Gokul Rajaram, Benjamin Ling of Bling Capital and Kevin Weil of Scribble Ventures, according to Aitan. The company said it will use the money for product development, international expansion and hiring.
