Booster Robotics has officially launched its new flagship humanoid robot platform called Booster T2. The robot is built to support the application of humanoid robots in the real-world as well as to speed up the development of embodied AI. The announcement came on the 13th of July, 2026. As per the company, this new platform is not limited to just demonstrating these humanoid robots. In fact, the purpose behind launching Booster T2 is to actually help humanoid robots perform useful work in day-to-day lives.
The timing of the launch indeed holds great value. And that’s because there are so many humanoid robotics industries that are trying their level best to normalize the use of humanoid robots for a variety of tasks. Rather than focusing on those traditional robots that were just capable of walking and maintaining balance, the companies are now inclined towards those robots that can understand their surroundings and make decisions accordingly, along with performing practical tasks.
As per Booster Robotics, Booster T2 is designed in such a way that it can combine mobility and perception along with reasoning and manipulation into a single system. This technology helps the robot operate way more efficiently in complex or changing environments.
Do you know what the best part about this new platform is? Well, that’s its onboard computing power. The Pro edition is powered by NVIDIA’s Jetson Thor platform and delivers up to 2,070 TFLOPS of AI computing performance. Booster Robotics said that this can help the robot process visual information and understand its surroundings. Not only this, but it also helps the robot plan tasks efficiently and control its movements in real time.
The height of Booster T2 is 1.4 meters, and it weighs 42 KGs. The robot features 31 degrees of freedom that help it move with flexibility and perform complex tasks. The robot can walk at a speed of upto 2m/s and can lift up to 10 KGs using its 2 hands. T2 can also generate up to 140 Nm of peak joint torque, enabling dynamic movements such as recovering from falls and handling demanding tasks. It also uses binocular cameras and has LiDAR sensors for better environmental awareness.
The company has also focused on improving the robot’s physical capabilities. Booster T2 is designed with whole-body coordination. This allows it to move while manipulating objects, maintain dynamic balance, bend, turn, and perform two-handed tasks. Booster Robotics says these abilities are essential for humanoid robots expected to work continuously in real-world settings rather than operate only in controlled demonstrations.
Beyond the hardware, Booster Robotics introduced Booster Studio. It is an open development platform that allows developers to build, train, and deploy AI models using a single workflow. The platform supports simulation-to-real deployment. This enables researchers to test algorithms in virtual environments before transferring them to the physical robot. It also provides open software interfaces and development tools for technologies such as vision-language-action (VLA) models, reinforcement learning, and imitation learning.
As per Booster Robotics, the goal of designing an open ecosystem is to help universities and research teams as well as startups and developers speed up innovation without having a need to build an entire humanoid robotics platform from scratch. By combining advanced locomotion and high-performance onboard computing, along with an open development ecosystem, the company hopes to help developers build robots that are better prepared for practical use in industries and other real-world environments.
